Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Real Estate team to ensure smooth daily operations as well as to ensure accurate and timely financial closing and preparation of financial and management reports
- Responsible for group consolidation and preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS); as well as assessing business combinations implications
- Manage group related accounting matters to be in compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and Group accounting policies
- Refining financial processes within the Group, develop and implement proper policies, procedures and financial controls in the businesses, to ensure greater efficiency and operations for the Group
- Liaise and coordinate with bankers, auditors, tax agencies, company secretaries, and relevant financial/ government institutions for all financial and statutory matters.
- Manage and oversee all tax matters (both direct and indirect taxes) for the Group
- Support the on-going Transfer Pricing studies and implementation, conduct regular internal review of transfer pricing policies in accordance with the latest tax regulation developments
- Monitor working capital and cash balances, manage cash flow projections and optimise cash balances and financing of working capital.
- Assist in preparing all corporate related agreements
- Assist to assess group structure and tax structure and research on implications of new acquisitions or disposal as and when necessary
- Assess the group tax implications and exposure for all industries bi-annually and as and when required
- Handles ad hoc assignments as and when required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience & supervisory including at least 5 years audit experience
- Hands-on experience in preparing group consolidated financial statements and exposure to overseas entities/subsidiaries
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of SFRS/IFRS
- Prior experience in a Big Four accounting firm is highly valued
- Eye for detail and highly meticulous
- Must have good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Ms Excel.
- Familiar with accounting software like Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
- Able to meet with a strict reporting deadline.
- Good team player, self-discipline, meticulous, attentive, committed, and able to work independently.
- Able to start immediately or within a short notice.
