Assisting Operations Manager to ensure and promote technical integrity of the operation and commitment to QHSE, including:
▪ Financial profitability, planning, invoicing and cost control.
▪ Allocate time and resources for implementation of HSE systems and plans.
▪ Promote HSE compliance and responsibility amongst all crew, contractors and stakeholders
▪ Delivery of seismic projects to contractual requirements and to Shearwater standards.
▪ Operational Planning and Management of all vessel activities, from bid to completion (the MORA process – Marine
Operations Readiness Assessment), including crew changes and port calls.
▪ Interface with technical support, including coordination of all departmental services to maximise technical
performance and efficiency.
▪ Direct management and mentoring of shore support and onboard vessel managers.
▪ Management of subcontractors including direct management of support vessels.
▪ Coordination of Permitting, Visas and Clearance of vessels.
▪ Monitoring, Reporting and forecasting of activity and performance.
▪ Monitoring and proactive management of the crew efficiency, productivity and technical performance.
▪ Monitoring and proactive management of the quality of the data delivered to the Client.
▪ Direct client interaction in the planning and execution of the project and follow up to project closure.
2. Assisting the Operations Manager to coordinate vessel operations, emergency response and client interactions with
Senior Operations Managers when operating in Asia or Americas.
3. Assisting Operations Managers in acting as an Emergency Management Team (EMT) Leader for ship to shore
emergencies.
4. Ensure compliance with local regulations in all areas of operation.
5. Assisting in providing operational input and guidance to the Sales/ Marketing teams working on future work for the vessels of responsibility. Recommend and monitor technical specifications and conditions of awarded contracts.
6. Liaise closely with HR manager about crew requirements, training and competency (both in QHSE and technical aspects), advising about specific manning requirements for projects, where specific knowledge or extra staff may be required, any upcoming local content issues.
