What the role is:
The Finance Officer plays a general role in providing administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective administrative operations of the Finance Department (AR).
Job Duties
School Fees Collection
- To update and maintain the school enrolment system
- To prepare Interbank Direct Credit Giro collection
- To monitor and follow-up on the outstanding receivables
- To coordinate with the Accounts Payable team on any refunds
Receipts
- To oversee and monitor collections from staff, parents, students etc
- To prepare bank-in slips for banking
- To enter receipts into the SAGE accounting system
- To file and record receipt vouchers
Reports
- To prepare periodic reports to the Ministry of Education
- To reconcile all fees scheme subsidies
- To prepare monthly Declaration of GEBiz Report
- To prepare reports for monthly and yearly closing
- To perform periodic update of the department’s policies and procedures
- Any other adhoc duties assigned by Reporting Officer
What we are looking for:
- Ability to work well independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment
- Good time management and ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Good interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills
- Comfortable with handling different profiles of stakeholders
- Proficiency in SAGE
- Good command of Oral and Written English
- Experience in School setting is an advantage
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
