Responsibilities:
- all booking keeping duties;
- attending to payments to vendors, staff and volunteers;
- advising on available grants for SOSD's various expenses and projects;
- preparing monthly reports to be presented to the Management Committee, including bank reconciliation;
- preparing annual budget and analyses of actual result vs. budget;
- managing the email account of the accounts department;
- managing bank matters;
- reviewing and fine-tuning the standard operating procedures ("SOPs") for accounting and finance matters;
- preparation of annual financial statement and attending to the annual audit and internal audit, if any;
- verification of donors' information for IPC submission for each calendar year;
- preparing and issuing tax deductible and non-tax deductible receipts to donors;
- maintaining donor database for tax deductible and non-tax deductible donations;
- preparing and submitting donor information to IRAS for each calendar year;
- responding to annual government surveys, if any; and
- assisting with such other accounting/finance matters as may be designated by the Treasurer.
- Assisting with renewal of IPC status
- Implementation of new accounting software
- Monitor and update MC on Fixed deposits and investments
- Submitting claims for grants to MCCY
Requirement:
- Minimum 8 years of accounting experience
- Minimum Diploma in accounting or relevant
- Able to work independently and perform under pressure
- Independent, disciplined, able to work with minimal supervison
