Job Description:
- Liaise with policyholders, intermediaries, investigators, surveyors, adjusters, investigators, lawyers, 3rd party claimants, group companies etc;
- Train and guide assistants in their support role;
- Manage and process claims expeditiously, professionally and equitably within agreed service benchmarks or applicable protocols;
- Ensure reserves are provided or updated in a timely and realistic manner;
- Add value to underwriters by advising underwriters on issues discovered during claims handling such as gap in policy wording and risk improvement;
- Periodic review of files, as and when required;
- Ensure recovery claims are pursued and followed up periodically;
- Compile monthly/quarterly statistics and any other statistical data when required;
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of Diploma and Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or related discipline eg. Degree in Maritime Studies;
- ACII/AAII qualifications or relevant insurance equivalent will be an added advantage;
- Relevant experience will be an added advantage;
- Possess good interpersonal and communications skills;
- Able to multi-task, is a team player, conscientious, tactful, customer-focused and willingness to learn new skills;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office application.
