The Opportunity
The Head of Orion APAC reports into Mediabrands CEO, APAC and is responsible for partnering with local market leadership to develop strategic plans for achieving growth & profitability in the local markets.
Strategic Leadership:
- Drive revenue and top-line growth through the strategic targeting of profitable accounts and industry verticals
- Develop business strategy, which includes but is not limited to managing and refining sales pipelines, managing opportunities and priorities together with market leads
- Research and analyze new market opportunities and help craft resulting business development plan(s)
Client Management:
- Co lead the development of Orion client relations in APAC not limited to regional accounts but inclusive of important pipeline opportunities within local markets
- Work with the management of the teams who are responsible for client relationships with all Orion clients across APAC
Financial:
- Monitor overall performance against annual operating and profit targets
- Lead business planning, budgeting, and reporting for client groups including revenue and profit forecasts
- Ensure compliance to the Orion operating model by working with market Orion and Finance leads.
Talent Management:
- Develop future leadership within the organization
- Develop the ability of others to perform and contribute to the agency by providing ongoing feedback and by providing opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods

Financial acumen:
- Understands internal reporting to manage budgets effectively
- Clear understanding of commercial and financial compliance and the very needs of adhering to them
- Able to adapt to changing revenue models
- Understands & makes use of economic, financial, competitor & industry data in diagnosing business strengths & weaknesses & develops strategies & plans that will he lp the busine ss grow
- Ability to understand different point s of view and effectively collaborates with appropriate people to meet business goals
- Thinks big picture: ability to analyze possibilities and weigh up outcomes in view of long- term success.
Client:
- Demonstrates strong and current knowledge of industry trends and best practices
- Experience working with senior-level clients, influencing key stakeholders without having direct authority in order to expand client revenue
- Proactively develops relationships withnew clients and leverages opportunities to showcase work at business/ networking events
- Articulates agency service in a way that clients’ needs are met, and value added, to gain clear agreement and commitment from client.

- Leverages industry network to attract talent
- Uses structured interviewing tools and techniques and projects professionalism and excitement throughout the hiring process
- Manages current talent through clearly defined performance goals and supports an environment for personal development.
