Your work environment

Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in the markets we operate, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.


Your role

You will be part of the Execution Sales Team within ING Financial Markets Sales. We are looking for a candidate to cover products across asset classes, for a wide and diversified international client base consisting of both Corporate and Institutional clients. You will also be playing an instrumental role in the development and implementation of the FM digitalization strategy.


Your key responsibilities

  • Is responsible for a portfolio of professional customers with a substantial business potential for FM products in Asia, spanning corporates, asset managers, hedge funds, sovereign wealth, and non-bank financial institutions.
  • Focus to increase wallet share and profitability by deepening and broadening relationships, and focusing on driving flow sales with existing client base by providing proactive and consistent coverage.
  • Closely tracks current developments on the international financial markets, acquires information at the product, client and industry level and interprets this information such that commercial opportunities that contribute to the objectives of Financial Markets can be concluded, with due consideration to the customer’s as well as ING (FM)’s interests.
  • Develops and maintains close and seamless cooperation with internal stakeholders (including and not limited to trading, relationship managers, operation teams, risk and legal) within and outside the region
  • Integrates established policy in areas such as digitalisation, client strategy and initiatives, risk and compliance into daily work activities.
  • Facilitating and maintaining KYC/CDD requirements per ING standards.

Who are you?

  • Degree holder with 3-8 years of relevant sales experience in financial market products
  • Genuine team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive, self-driven, confident, with an enterprising attitude
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating environment
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin speaking ability will be an advantage
  • Have strong analytics and quantitative skills, to review and make conclusions over large client data
  • Strives within a diverse team environment and cross collaborating with connected teams regionally and globally
