Job Description:
- Responsible for implementing strategic initiatives to the improvement af HSSE performance, elaborating, executing and monitoring projects and campaigns to promote continuous improvement of HSSE culture and supporting global operations.
- Responsible for establishing occupational hygiene standards, recognizing, monitoring and controlling the risks, aiming to preserve worker' s health, as well as centralize the management of the discipline.
- Provide expert technical HSSE support to the unity .
- Implement, support and monitor the implementation of HSSE guides, process standards, work instructions, programs, tools and practices consistent with responsibilities defined by the company's management system requirements.
- Represent the unit's HSSE area towards the client and onshore I offshore team, participating of the management meetings, presenting performance indicators and addressing relevant HSEQ issues along with the leadership, establishing the strategies to reach the targets .
- Manage unit's HSSE team routines, providing needed training, enhancing HSSE culture, prioritizing activities, coordinating and monitoring HSSE Coordinators delivery , in terms of quality and due date.
- Demonstrate safety leadership, proactively supporting the offshore team on HSSE subjects, providing technical advice in accordance with policies, systems, processes, procedures and methods established by management system, client and/or host country requirements and regulations.
- Provide support to operational and administrative management on the incidents prevention and impacts to employees, contractors, suppliers, community, environment, company assets and image.
- Support leadership with the application of incident investigations techniques as per Modec's procedures, in order to determine root causes and proper actions to correct and prevent recurrence.
- Establish corporate guidelines within the occupational hygiene for all MdB activities, ensuring, as applicable, the proper registration in the management system.
- Monitor the implementation of occupational hygiene standards established in the management system.
- Plan the occupational hygiene quantitative assessment of the Operational Units with the respective HSSE Engineers.
- Support operations by providing specialized technical support in the preparation, review and maintenance of Occupational Hygiene Programs , as well as in the various related matters.
- Establish the HSSE requirements necessary to carry out the proper screening of professionals, considering admission, transfer and promotion, so that it is possible to build a history of exposure to occupational risks, in particular, those related to exposure to harmful agents.
- Carry out the functional framework of the professionals hired, transferred and promoted, ensuring the correct mapping of occupational risks and the appropriate review of the Occupational Hygiene Programs, as applicable.
- Monitor the new occupational hygiene regulations, aiming to establish requirements and implement mechanisms to meet them.
- Internally foster the development of knowledge in the area of occupational hygiene through training and worksho ps, aiming at better management and, consequently, preserving the health of workers and reducing legal liability.
- Plan the work to be done to meet project scope, considering the necessary resources and the engagement of stakeholders.
- Manages the changes proposed by the project, creating change management documentation, assessing the risks and impacts in the organization, implementing actions, training the ones involved and updating documents impacted by the project.
HSSE Requirements and Code of Conduct:
- HSSE: Act in compliance with the corporate HSSEQ Management System Policy, the MOD EC Life Saving Rules, and the policies, guides, process standards and work instructions available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Ethics and Compliance: In compliance with the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, as well as with MO DEC Group Ethics and Compliance Policies and Local Procedures, their respective forms, online and live mandatory trainings: is committed to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and obligations and act in accordance with the highest ethical standards and with MODEC values.
- Emergency Plan: As per indication on the Training Matrix, Emergency Management Guide and Offshore Emergency Management, available in the Integrated Management System { IMS) .
Qualifications & Experience:
- Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in engineering and Post-Graduation in Safety Engineering.
- Progressive and relevant experience in HSSE and/or Process Safety in the oil & gas, chemical, construction industry or similar.
