Responsibilities:
- Identify and source suppliers for direct and indirect materials/services to broaden the supplier base and meet new project/production requirements.
- Obtain quotes from newly sourced suppliers to establish costing and achieve cost reductions.
- Lead periodic price negotiations with suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness for materials/services.
- Participate in supplier qualification audits and parts qualification processes to confirm suppliers meet company standards.
- Qualify suppliers for inclusion in the Approved Vendor List once selected.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to manage supplier quality and update their capabilities.
- Maintain standard operating procedures for the Procurement department to ensure consistent workflow processes.
- Develop and negotiate advantageous supply agreements with suppliers.
- Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to establish an effective supply chain model, ensuring supply assurance with minimal inventory levels.
- Work with Engineering and Warehouse departments to verify the quality standards of supplied items and establish quality plans.
- Provide periodic quotation templates to the Sales department for standard products.
- Prepare quotations for the Sales department based on customer requirements.
- Undertake any additional tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Education and Training:
- Fresh graduates with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering are welcome to apply
- Or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- Diploma holders with at least 2 years of experience in components sourcing and fabrication parts.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
