This is a permanent position with our client in the financial services space. We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with a strong focus on fine-tuning on-premises servers running Linux. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing system performance, minimizing latency, and ensuring the robustness of their IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure High Availability and Performance: Manage and maintain on-premises servers to guarantee high availability and peak performance.
- Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with the Software Development team to support and diagnose infrastructure and application issues effectively.
- Automate and Optimize: Create and implement automation scripts to streamline and optimize procedures.
- Proactive Monitoring: Monitor application and infrastructure alerts, responding promptly to maintain system integrity.
- Documentation: Create and update comprehensive technical documentation and troubleshooting guides.
- Support Management: Manage and respond to open support tickets, ensuring timely resolution.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in Support, Infrastructure or Server Engineering.
- Server Management: Strong hands-on experience in managing on-premises servers.
- Linux Expertise: Proficiency in Linux scripting, particularly in RHEL or CentOS.
- Configuration Management: Extensive experience with Ansible configuration management and playbooks.
- Automation Skills: Proficiency in automation using Python or Bash.
- Monitoring Tools: Experienced in using monitoring tools to ensure system health.
Experience with Cloud platforms, DevOps practices, Databases, or Software Development will be an added advantage.
