As the Senior Accountant, you will:
- Be a business partner to the organisation
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, supporting schedules and disclosure notes for SG HQ and regional subsidiaries
- Guide finance team members and review work from regional subsidiaries
- Prepare reports to management about financial results, as well as provide appropriate analysis and commentary to assist management in assessing performance
- Prepare monthly cashflow forecasts
- Calculate the cost of different types of capital financial instruments and the overall costs of capital for the organization
- Provide data in relation to assets, capital rationing and cost of capital
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support in strategic planning initiatives
- Plan and coordinate the annual financial audit process
- Respond on audit data, variances and audit findings
- Implement policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls to prevent possible fraud and errors
- Resolve issues and deficiencies arising from audit findings
- Liaise with regional service providers, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities
- Support and ensure compliance with all corporate tax & other financial filing requirements
- Handle day-to-day finance queries from stakeholders
- Key contributor in finance related process improvements, system enhancements, and initiatives
- Support on projects and tasks as assigned
You should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
- 5-6 years of relevant working experience
- Experience with group consolidation
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, written, listening, and communication skills
- Attention to detail, be organised, and a self-motivated team player
It would be good to have:
- Audit experience in an established firm
- A professional qualification in Accounting (CPA / CA / ACCA)
- Team management experience
