Batch Technologies Pte Ltd, a leading manufacturer and installer of concrete batching plants, is seeking a skilled and strategic Purchaser to join our team! In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our projects by securing the best materials at competitive prices.
About the Role:
You'll be responsible for sourcing and procuring a wide range of materials needed for our concrete batching plant production and installation. This includes critical components, raw materials, and supplies. You'll work closely with various departments, including engineering, production, and project management, to understand their needs and identify the most efficient purchasing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing suppliers of materials relevant to concrete batching plants.
· Solicit quotes, negotiate contracts, and place purchase orders to secure the best possible pricing and delivery terms.
· Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries.
· Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify potential shortages.
· Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new materials for cost optimization.
· Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
· Strong understanding of procurement principles and negotiation techniques.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with suppliers.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and purchasing software (preferred).
· Knowledge of the concrete batching plant industry and its materials is a plus.
· Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
