Job Description:
As a Certified Professional for BMC TrueSight version 10.x architecture, you will play a critical role in our IT operations management. With over 6 years of hands-on experience, you will be responsible for the implementation, deployment, upgrade, and integration of BMC Helix TrueSight with various third-party tools using methods like adapters, SNMP, and custom connectors. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting issues at both the MOM and agents levels and integrating TrueSight with ITSM tools to enable auto-ticketing and notifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation & Deployment: Lead the implementation and deployment of BMC Helix TrueSight solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and third-party tools.
- Upgrades & Integrations: Manage upgrades and integrations using adapters, SNMP, and custom connectors to ensure compatibility and functionality with various tools and systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues at the MOM level and agents level, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- ITSM Integration: Integrate BMC TrueSight with ITSM tools like Remedy Service Desk and ServiceNow ITSM to enable automated ticketing and notifications based on alerts/events from the MOM console.
- Event Management: Utilize policies and MRLs for effective event operations and management, ensuring timely response to system events and alerts.
- Tool Integration: Experience integrating TrueSight with IBM TPC, SCOM, and SolarWinds.
- Secondary Tools: Utilize secondary tools such as BMC Server Automation and BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping (Discovery) to support IT operations.
- KM Deployment: Deploy and configure various Knowledge Modules (KM) for applications, including Basic OS, SQL Server, Oracle, Remote KM, etc.
Required Skills:
- Certification: Certified Professional for BMC TrueSight version 10.x architecture.
- Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in implementation, deployment, upgrade, and integration of TrueSight solutions.
- Integration Expertise: Proven experience in integrating TrueSight with third-party tools using adapters, SNMP, and custom connectors.
- Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills for MOM and agent-level issues.
- ITSM Tools: Proficient in integrating BMC TrueSight with ITSM tools for auto-ticketing and notifications.
- Event Management: Skilled in event management using policies and MRLs.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with BMC Server Automation and BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping (Discovery).
- KM Configuration: Ability to deploy and configure various Knowledge Modules (KM) for different applications.
Preferred Skills:
- Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- ITIL Practices: Understanding of ITIL practices and methodologies.
