Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop detailed supervision schedule and comprehensive checklist for the conduct of the inspection and supervision.
- Review and check the construction drawings, method statements and construction sequence for all aspects of the temporary and permanent works of the micro-tunnelling and mining works, and their interface with the cut-and-cover tunnels, modification proposals to the design and construction methods and to advise on necessary amendments.
- Review and check all contingency measures and their application and decision structure, including all rectification proposals.
- Follow up and supervise all modification, additional and rectification.
- Supervise every stage of the mining construction, including all excavation, shotcreting, installation of support/stabilising elements, casting of concrete and all other works to achieve the full completion of the tunnel, in a safe manner.
- Prepare and submit independent daily assessment report.
- Monitor and assess the instrumentation results and implement/instruct the execution of the various courses of action when the readings and its trend is deviated from the predicted values.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Civil and Structural Engineering
- Registered with the BCA and accredited RE/RTO by IES/ACES
- Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant field
- Be conversant in local legislation, regulations, and codes.
