Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Directors of the Company with key responsibilities as listed below but not limited to:
- Lead and motivate the existing Operations Team.
- Moderate and resolve disputes between Charterers and Owners.
- Provide advice to customers on contentious or difficult issues.
- Improve existing processes to increase staff productivity and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Provide training for junior team members as well as customers upon request.
- Support the brokers desk for customer outreach.
- Work with the Operations Team to prepare concise and relevant KPI reports for our customers.
- Ensure regular data audits on the Company data system(s) are conducted.
- Adopt and develop projects for the Directors of the Company as and when required.
Prerequisites
- A minimum of 5 years seagoing experience on chemical tankers.
- A minimum of 5 years in shipping operations in a management role.
- Experience in other shipping related fields such as Marine Superintendent, Marine Pilot, Port Operations, Marine Surveyor or Ship Agency would be an advantage.
- A good working knowledge of various Charterparty forms.
- A mature thinking individual with good work ethics and a service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to motivate and encourage people of different nationalities and backgrounds.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in other languages is a distinct advantage.
- Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
