Compliance Manager
The Compliance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). They are responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs to mitigate risks and uphold integrity and reputation.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines tailored to specific requirements.
- Stay abreast of local and international laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to education, immigration, employment, health, safety, and data protection.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement.
- Ensure confidentiality and data security in managing compliance-related documentation and information.
- Identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities within operations and devise strategies to mitigate them.
- Establish and maintain systems for monitoring and reporting compliance-related issues, incidents, and violations.
- Serve as the company's Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure compliance with PDPA in Singapore.
- Conduct audits to verify compliance with PDPA requirements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to PDPA.
- Manage data breaches and address PDPA-related inquiries.
- Provide ongoing education and training to ensure staff understand their data protection responsibilities.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address compliance concerns and implement corrective actions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or equivalent.
- Over 5 years of experience in Compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore's PDPA.
- Experiences in Project Management, Change Management and Vendor Management
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with users and vendors
