Job Overview:


The Assistant Manager (Industry Development) will play a pivotal role in fostering the growth and advancement of Singapore’s interior design industry. This position involves collaborating with industry stakeholders, supporting policy development, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the sector’s competitiveness and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Industry Analysis and Research:Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the interior design industry.
    Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for industry growth and development.
    Monitor global best practices and benchmarks to inform local strategies.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including interior design firms, educational institutions, government agencies, and professional associations.
    Facilitate regular communication and collaboration with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather feedback.
    Organize and participate in industry forums, workshops, and networking events.
  3. Strategic Planning and Policy Development:Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans and policies to support the growth of the interior design industry.
    Work with government bodies and industry partners to advocate for policies that benefit the sector.
    Monitor and evaluate the impact of industry development initiatives and policies.
  4. Program and Project Management:Manage and support industry development programs and projects from conception to completion.
    Coordinate resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
    Prepare reports and presentations to update stakeholders on project progress and outcomes.
  5. Capacity Building and Professional Development:Identify and address skill gaps within the industry by organizing training programs, workshops, and seminars.
    Develop resources and materials to support ongoing professional development for interior design professionals.
    Promote certification and accreditation programs to enhance industry standards.
  6. Marketing and Promotion:Develop and implement marketing strategies with the assistance from the Marketing Executive to promote Singapore’s interior design industry locally and internationally.
    Create content for promotional materials, social media, and industry publications.
    Represent the industry at trade shows, conferences, and other promotional events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in industry development, project management, or a related role within the interior design or creative industry.
  • Strong understanding of the interior design sector, including market trends and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with government agencies, industry associations, or similar organizations.
  • Knowledge of Singapore’s interior design industry and its key stakeholders.
