- Working days: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage team in setting supplier agreements for sales and operations requirements
- Provide the regional organization with a comprehensive portfolio of service providers supplying sea freight and intermodal services
- Conduct research on market development on the suitable suppliers and act upon it
- Build and expand through relationships with existing and new suppliers on various levels
- Work in close cooperation with various parties (suppliers, other offices, forwarders and agents) in rate offers and negotiation
- File and maintain suppliers' information, rates and surcharges within the Internal Vendor System
- Monitor and manage expirations of various rates in the Vendor System
- Control all rate negotiations with the suppliers in their area
- Look for opportunities to make optimal use of the suppliers' portfolio
- Manage, support, and facilitate the regional procurement team in their day-to-day activities
- Assist in other procurement duties as needed
Job Requirements:
- Possess a minimum diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement in the Logistics business
- Must possess container shipping experience and excellent market knowledge in sea freights and transportation
- Proficient in using computing software (eg. in-house programs)
- Results-oriented with great negotiation and analytical skills for supplier selection and evaluation
- Possess proven leadership skills with the ability to manage processes as well as build relationships
- Additional experience in Continuous Improvement or Process Development environment will be considered as an advantage
