We are looking for a Senior Client Portfolio Specialist to join the team based in Singapore.
This role Is the product expert and product champion for a specific set of investment strategies within an asset class or investment platform with seasoned knowledge of the investment management business and investment products.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
- Primary subject matter expert on investment-related aspects of assigned investment strategies and products in lieu of the portfolio manager to Sales, Client Service, Consultant Relations, Marketing, and others
- Serves as proxy PM in internal meetings with business partners. Answers client servicing questions, articulate investment team views and responds to performance issues (and other investment-related issues) on strategies for assigned asset class
- Educates internal audiences on investment strategies and products
- Provides resources and information to research and analyse all aspects of competitor products, peer performance and competitive industry landscape
- Creates strategic and global messaging for investment team on a specific set of investment strategies
- Provides ongoing product positioning, portfolio performance analysis, investment process and strategy details, and written investment commentary, proactive portfolio updates
- Performs portfolio attribution analysis for internal and external use
- Contributes and develops thought leadership/white paper content for sophisticated client groups
- Crafts dynamic content for investment related insights used in investment communications
- Responds to market events (environmental impact) by providing written and verbal communication to be delivered directly and indirectly (through sales, client service, and consultant relations) with clients
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of investment strategies covered by attending investment meetings, studying research reports and exploring information services
- Analyzes industry distribution and competitive trends to identify attractive, new product opportunities/ enhancements and sales and service models
- Researches and analyzes competitive products performance, competitive industry landscape (product and strategy, pre-finals prep), firm product performance, and peer performance
- Reviews legal prospectuses and product marketing materials
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree. CFA holder or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred
- 8 – 12 years of related experience
- Strong understanding of investment products
- Ability to communicate investment insights effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Self-starter with a proven ability to work autonomously
- Meticulous with strong attention to detail
- Experience using investment software and analytics (i.e. Factset, Bloomberg, Morningstar)
