The primary focus will be on supporting growth with initiatives that enhances the quality, speed and ease of putting forth our best pitch for new business opportunities; and also supporting contract renewals & material changes within our existing business.
The incumbent will provide both bid management back-office process support and business challenge and insight reporting that collectively will help support the Logistics APAC business grow and engage more effectively and efficiently with our customers.
Key Accountabilities:
Bid Management Process:
- Manage all required opportunities through the defined DPW Logistics APAC bid management process. This will cover the “Opportunity assessment” stage right through to “Closed & Won” when we have a signed contract from our customer. Stakeholder engagement and management needed to keep this process on track to make sure our opportunity presentations and customer commercial offers are all approved within the business.
- Own the establishment of the required “Go / No Go” calls with the respective functional leads and communicate the decisions within the business.
- Set up and attend as necessary any “Kick off” meetings with the respective response teams for an opportunity.
- Gather the necessary information from the opportunity lead and Pricing teams to enable an opportunity to be presented to the Regional Customer Council (RCC) for approval. Facilitate these meetings and capture outcomes in the CRM system
- Working closely with Account Management to ensure high quality bid proposal is presented to our customers.
- Work independently and handle, track & prioritize multiple RFQ response assignments concurrently.
CRM System:
- Manage and maintain opportunities in the CRM system to ensure correct visibility of status and associated managerial reports are correct.
- Assist where required on data gathering and managerial report building on the performance of the growth and renewal pipeline.
Customer Engagements:
- Support Account Management, Commercial Logistics Team people to deliver high quality RFI/RFQ response documents & presentations to prospective new customers by providing and reviewing proposal documents as needed.
- Link in with the Commercial Logistics Team in helping to gather appropriate material and enhance content for a customer presentation (as needed).
Internal Alignments:
- Be willing and able to engage senior internal stakeholders to progress the required bid management process activities. Be a “self-starter” in proactively engaging any internal stakeholder to both produce output, but also to question and continuously improve our internal Bid processes.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent level) – but not a mandated need.
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ strong experience in working in the supply chain sector – ideally within a contract logistics or a road transport setting.
- Have a demonstratable track record (formalised or by operational exposure) in project management. This includes both defining the situation and current challenges as well as then building plans and delivering change to improve the business situation. Knowledgeable with the fundamentals of project management (resource allocations, time constraints, predecessor and successor activities, key milestones and ultimate deliverables.
- Proven history of accountability and ownership of project deliverables.
- Have experience of the customer engagement and growth process and the associated back office systems and processes needed to support this core strategic requirement of a business.
- Experience in the logistics industry; experience in project management – ideally within supply chain operations; business understanding of CRM based systems and managerial governance and reporting that such a system delivers to a business.

- Flexibility to travel - You are ready to travel between 10 - 20% of the time across APAC to perform your duties and engage with internal colleagues.
