This role will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of our Business Units in Asia (BUs) while maintaining an effective and efficient management reporting process. Our client is MNC in Insurance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on the financial performance of our BUs, including analysis of variances versus approved plan. IFRS17 exprience is a plus
- Assist in the regional planning process and development of regional strategic business plan
- Perform analysis to track the effectiveness of business strategies
- Maintain and update a library of market and competitor information
- Forecasting and modelling of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Support BUs in the use of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
- Provide accounting advice and support to the business units
- Innovate, ideate and automate the related processes as appropriate
- Assist in ad-hoc finance projects or initiatives
Requirements
- Insurance industry exprience is a plus
- Thorough understanding of insurance technical accounting/operations and business issues with experience in managing full sets of insurance accounts and regulatory reporting. Knowledge of IFRS17 is preferred.
- Understanding of financial management, reporting, planning tools and concepts
- Minimum five years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, planning and management reporting in a multinational corporation. Experience in Big Four accounting firms is preferred.
- Professional qualification in Accountancy/Finance
- Experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle EBS) and IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) will be a plus
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Embraces change and technology; experience in automation projects and initiatives will be an advantage
