Our Client
Our client is a well-established real estate investment company where the business primarily comprises finite-life funds that own assets in traditional real estate sectors, including office, retail, and hospitality. In view of internal reorganisation, they are looking for a contract Assistant Finance Manager for 6 months to handle the monthly closing of accounts and financial reports for management and investors reporting during the transition period.
The Role
This role reports to Finance Manager with the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely closing of accounts monthly, comprising the AP, AR and General Ledger function and including the preparation of audit schedules for an assigned portfolio of companies comprising both corporate and fund entities.
- Timely preparation of monthly financial reports for management and investors reporting.
- Review monthly management accounts of subsidiaries prepared by accountants.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholder for the issuance of invoices to related companies.
- Preparation of remittance payment of expenses and staff claims.
- Support the annual Group budgeting exercise through the preparation of the budget for each entity within the assigned portfolio of companies.
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents and corporate secretarial agents where required.
- Provide support to and engage the subsidiary companies finance teams to ensure tha all financial and regulatory deadlines are met.
- Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Preparation of GST returns and income tax returns.
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff members.
Your Profile
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or equivalent.
- At least 5-6 years of relevant experience and able to handle full set of accounts.
- Posses good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- A self-starter with a positive mindset who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently.
- Meticulous, analytical and independent worker.
- Prior experience in SAP preferred but not pre-requisite.
Note: This role may have conversion opportunity to permanent position, subject to reorganisation and internal movements.
