DLP Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced DLP (Data Loss Prevention) Cloud Security Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive DLP security measures within our cloud environments to protect the organization's digital assets and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a cloud DLP security strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and compliance requirements.
• Design and architect secure cloud solutions, considering network security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection.
• Continuously monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalies, and guide the implementation of proactive measures to address security concerns.
• Ensure cloud security practices adhere to industry standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Establish reporting routines that provide visibility into the execution of long-term security maturity and strategic plans.
• Consult with control owners and others to develop complete and repeatable control processes, including control documentation.
• Develop high-level presentations tailored for executives and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years focused on cloud security.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including knowledge of their security services and best practices.
• Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies, with expertise in areas like network security, DLP, and encryption.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with the ability to assess complex security risks and devise effective solutions.
• Experience in administration of a DLP tool, including configuring policies, upgrading, and disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts concisely.
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or ability to obtain the certification within 3 months.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience operating and tuning DLP technologies.
• Familiarity with CASB solutions, Microsoft Purview, Proofpoint, and M365.
• Knowledge of basic networking, encryption, and ancillary services (DNS, web servers, LDAP/AD, database technologies).
• Intermediate-level scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
