Role:
- To assist in the administration of a portfolio of Trust accounts and reporting to the Senior Finance Manager and working closely with the Head of Trust Administration.
Responsibilities:
- The Trust Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with trust agreements, implementing regulatory guidelines, recording receipts and payments, and maintaining trust records.
- To assist with the on-boarding of new clients and obtain the requisite AML/KYC documentation.
- To assist in drafting trust documents such as trust resolutions and letters of wishes.
- To assist in the Asset (s) transfer into the Trust setup, including opening bank accounts.
- To liaise with intermediaries relating to the trust structures such as lawyers, auditors, tax advisors, and bankers, when necessary.
- To undertake a Periodic Review of Trusts and Estates under administration.
- Attending client queries, coordinating trust account activities, carrying out trustee functions, and properly documenting the account files.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.
Skills and qualifications:
· A good Diploma or Degree in Accountancy
· Proficient in MS tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Strong team player and possess a positive attitude
· Conscientious, with good attention to detail
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
· Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
· Independent and positive working attitude
