We are seeking a talented and experienced Asia Research Analyst to join our dynamic team. As an Asia Research Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing economic trends, policies, and developments across Asian countries to provide valuable insights and strategic guidance to our clients and stakeholders.
Position Summary:
- Develop and regularly update models for China and ASEAN countries economic indicators
- Follow the Central Bank communication and monetary policy developments
- Conduct thematic research on varied macroeconomic topics, monitor financial markets and investment trends in Asia, providing insights on market dynamics and their interaction with economic fundamentals
- Committed to understanding investment strategies offered by the firm, and to establishing strong partnerships with the firm’s community of sector specialists and portfolio managers
Profile and Required Qualifications:
- Relevant work experience in macroeconomics and solid econometrics knowledge
- Asian language skills, Mandarin is essential for research on China Market
- Graduate degree in Economics is a plus
- An understanding of, and previous experience within, the APAC region (economies, politics and history) is desirable
- Demonstrable analytical skills, and knowledge of economics and financial markets with the ability to use and interpret macro data and create proprietary indicators to predict
