Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the dormitory, ensuring all facilities are functioning properly
- Ensures regular maintenance and prompt repairs of facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, and general infrastructure
- Manages housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the dormitory
- Facilitates the onboarding process for new residents, including orientation sessions about dormitory rules and regulations
- Ensures the dormitory complies with local laws and regulations, including housing standards and labor laws
- Maintains accurate records of all residents, including identification, work permits, and health records
- Prepares for and facilitates inspections by government or regulatory bodies, ensuring all compliance requirements are met
- Addresses any issues or grievances raised by residents promptly and fairly
- Mediates conflicts between residents and resolve disputes to maintain a harmonious living environment
- Develops and manages the dormitory budget, including expenses for maintenance
- Manages dormitory capacity and room assignments to ensure optimal utilization of space
- Acts as the primary point of contact between residents, employers, and regulatory authorities
- Prepares and submits regular reports on dormitory operations, resident welfare, and compliance status to senior management or relevant authorities
- Coordinates with emergency services and respond effectively to any emergencies or crises
- Identifies areas for improvement and implements changes to enhance the quality of living for residents
Requirements:
- Diploma in Facility Management or any other related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in dormitory operations or related field
- Able to use VLOOKUP and Microsoft Excel Formulas to extract data
- Proficient in doing reports using Microsoft Words and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience in using systems similar to dormitory management system
- Physically fit to carry out inspection on high level floors
- Willing to work on weekends
- Knowledge in facilities management is an advantage
