Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Asst Prof WEI Jiangbo on Developing CRISPR- and other strategy-dependent RNA modification detection and modulation under a project on "Detection and regulation of RNA modifications".
The main responsibilities of the position include:
1. Carry out biochemistry and cell biology-related experiments as necessary.
2. Facilitate grant application.
3. Aid and support to junior PhD students in their research projects.
4. Participate in group meetings and seminars.
5. Report duty to PI.
Qualifications / Discipline:
- Biochemistry and Molecular Biology or related disciplines.
Skills:
- Bench skills associated with biochemistry and molecular biology, and cell biology, including but not limited to molecular cloning, immunoblots, RT-qPCR, cell culture, cell transfection, gel electrophoresis, immunofluorescence imaging, genetic cloning, sequencing library construction, CRISPR, etc.
Experience:
- Hold a PhD degree or expected to be graduated soon in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology or related disciplines. Have published (or at least submitted) peer-reviewed papers as the first author in high-impact journals.
