Senior Cloud Security Engineer

What you'll do:

As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to safeguard our client's digital assets. You will play a crucial role in building a detection engineering process for a SIEM platform that covers both on-premises and multi-cloud environments. Your expertise in AWS / Azure will be invaluable as you serve as a technical subject matter expert. Collaborating with teams across Global Information Security, you will design, develop, tune, and maintain detection content. Your keen eye will be essential in reviewing applications, infrastructure, and architectural designs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.

• Build a detection engineering process and culture for a SIEM platform covering on-prem and multi-cloud environments.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for the AWS / Azure environment.
• Partner with teams across Global Information Security to design, develop, tune, and maintain detection content.
• Protect the organisation and support its information security policies and/or procedures.
• Review applications, infrastructure, and architectural designs to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Build, configure, operate and secure cloud infrastructure and applications in AWS / Azure.

What you bring:

The ideal Senior Cloud Security Engineercandidate brings a wealth of experience in cyber security. With your Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field under your belt, you've spent at least eight years honing your skills in cyber security. Your experience extends to writing and tuning detections as well as working with SIEM tools. You're no stranger to designing and implementing technical solutions that enhance visibility within AWS. Your understanding of threat frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud and D3FEND will be crucial in this role. Your ability to independently assess risks and identify vulnerabilities in infrastructure sets you apart.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or related field.
• Eight (8) or more years relevant Cyber Security experience with at least five (5) years in Cloud SOC and/or Purple Team roles.
• Experience writing and tuning detections.
• Experience with SIEM tools.
• Experience designing and implementing technical solutions to enhance visibility within AWS.
• Understanding of threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud and D3FEND.
• Ability to independently assess risks and identify vulnerabilities in infrastructure.
