My client is an investment management firm with over 10 years of history and is headquartered in the United Kingdom. They are at an exciting phase of expansion as they grow their presence in Asia Pacific and have newly set up an office in Singapore. While the firm looks to expand the local team over the next few years, they are now hiring the second member of the pioneering team who will run alongside the APAC Managing Director to achieve their ambitious goals for APAC.
about the job
In this role, you will be responsible to extend superb secretarial and administrative support to the APAC MD and manage daily office operations for the team. You will need to support calendar management, schedule meetings, travel arrangements and expense claims. In addition, you will be tasked to assist with material preparation for meetings, event management, conduct research on potential clients and maintain the information on the CRM system. There will be opportunities to take up additional responsibilities in the long run, including coordinating with HR and Finance, as well as setting up the IT desk in Singapore. You will also be an essential part of the team in setting up new processes and procedures for the new office.
about the manager/team
You will report to the APAC MD and will need to work closely with colleagues in the head office.
skills and experience required
The ideal candidate should be tertiary educated and have at least 5 years of experience in a secretarial role, preferably with experience in taking on multiple responsibilities and functions in a new set-up in Singapore. Having an excellent ability to prioritise and manage tasks, along with a positive, hands-on attitude at work, will contribute to your success in the role. Being able to navigate agile environments, and be proactive and resourceful in your work will also work to your advantage.
