Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the identification of wind measurement campaign locations considering various constraints, timing, and layout requirements for power plant construction.
- Lead feasibility and FEED studies for wind energy projects.
- Conduct value engineering, Design optimization and commercial optimization analyses for wind power projects, including thorough site condition assessments.
- Oversee wind measurement campaign location selection, data analysis, and management for both development and operational projects, while providing guidance to subcontractors and contractors.
- Conduct field visits to project sites for topographical assessments, wind measurement campaign inspections, and supervision of installation, maintenance, and removal activities.
- Responsible for micro-siting work of wind power projects, including on-site survey, preliminary risk identification, wind resource assessment and calculation
- Responsible for wind turbine selection turbine layout optimization
- Manage the collection and referencing of project information, including land and survey data, according to established benchmarks.
- Plan measurement activities and offer efficient solutions to project challenges.
- Conduct troubleshooting on masts and/or other measuring devices as needed and develop a comprehensive troubleshooting manual for LIDAR to maintain depersonalization.
- Wind power project costing, LCOE, scheduling and manage the relevant stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Lead the review on inter-disciplines design/ engineering/ constructability to consider safety, quality, performance, reliability, flexibility of operation with optimal project and life cycle cost.
- Establish system and documentation for company engineering standards & specification, ITP, approved vendor/manufacturer list, material specifications, discipline’s schedule of rates and cost estimate template, engineering checklists etc.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in wind energy technology.
- Ensure all activities carried out are in full compliance to all regulatory and authority requirement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Prior Experience in establishing of a daily wind measurement data monitoring routine and data storage management.
- Prior Experience with Inhouse wind analysis with wind flow models,structural analysis, fluid dynamics.
- Prior Experience with LiDAR observations and accuracy verification
- Proficient in using wind resource assessment related software, such as WindPRO, WAsP, Windographer, Openwind, Meteodyn WT and other professional software
Skills / Competencies & Preferred Characteristics
- Prior experience in measurement or assessment within the Wind Power Plant Industry
Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
