Job Summary
The incumbent shall assist Purchasing Department in the routine jobs of purchasing Materials and Utilities for the manufacturing of its Products. Main items of purchased include Chemicals, Packaging Materials, Consumables and Utilities like Electricity, Waters and Gases.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- To liaise with Users or Planners for the material requirements.
- To RFQ (request for quotation) from approved Vendors.
- To issue Purchase Orders in SAP system and Concur system.
- To follow up with Items delivery, including advancement or deferment of delivery.
- To do Invoice matching for payment purpose.
- To assist in Vendor Registration and Vendor Evaluation processes.
- To update necessary databases like order details (pricing, quality and reliability).
Requirements
- Diploma or A-level, preferably in Science or Business discipline, with at least a few years of working experience in similar role.
- Candidate without minimum academic qualifications but possess relevant working experience in Petrochemical/Chemical Industry can be considered.
- Good database management or record-keeping skills.
- Sincere and Team Player, with good sense of Ownership.
- Ethical and Discipline.
