Salary Range:
Mechanical Design Lead / Manager: $7,000 - $9,000
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers in mechanical services for projects from the concept stage through design development, contract documentation, authority submissions, site administration, and project completion.
- Support and provide expert mechanical engineering design solutions.
- Handle design work and/or project management relevant to ACMV, Fire Protection, Hydraulic Services, Sanitary Systems, and Plumbing.
- Act as either Project Manager or Team Leader on projects.
- Mentor new employees, providing guidance and support as they integrate into the team.
- Provide technical assistance to engineers and advise on project administration and contractual issues.
- Conduct technical discussions on common design problems with engineers.
- Ensure all designs and projects comply with relevant Singapore regulations and codes of practice.
- Utilize BIM and CAD capabilities (REVIT, Microstation, AutoCAD) to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Recognised Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in design engineering of ACMV/HVAC, Fire Protection, and Plumbing services with Engineering Consultancies in Singapore.
- Proven track record of working across organizational boundaries to define requirements, solve complex problems, and drive programs to successful completion.
- Good understanding of Singapore Code of Practice and local authority submission processes (LTA, PUB, BCA).
- Proficiency in BIM and CAD software (REVIT, Microstation, AutoCAD) is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead projects to successful completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
