Beca’s Smart Building experience spans a broad range of building project types, from large campuses comprising dozens of buildings to small tenancy fit-outs. We have helped these building owners and tenants use the latest generation information and communication technologies to increase operational efficiency, share information and improve the quality of services to all stakeholders.

As independent advisers, not affiliated with any vendor, we develop technology solutions that can be cost efficiently delivered by a range of suppliers. We design system architectures that are reliable, meet data privacy standards and can be integrated with external systems using industry standard protocols. Our Smart Buildings consultants have a practical working knowledge of the delivery of solutions that integrate sensors, networks, and software applications.
We are seeing growth in the Smart Buildings space in Singapore (and beyond), and we are currently recruiting for a Senior ICT Engineer to join our Digital and Building Technology team. This position will be based in our Singapore Office.
About You
As a Senior ICT Consultant at Beca, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of technology infrastructure for iconic developments for some of Southeast Asia’s leading developers. You will combine your technical expertise with innovative thinking to design and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency, security, and performance. If you are passionate about creating impactful solutions and thrive in a collaborative environment, we would love to have you on our team.
Responsibilities
● Technical Expertise: At least 8 to 10 years of experience to provide professional ICT design expertise; Familiar with IBMS/BMS/Smart Building systems and able to design, and define interface matric with the various building systems, sub-systems, and other key related technologies.
● Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create robust, resilient, secure, and scalable solutions aligned with Client’s strategic ICT direction.
● Mentoring: Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their growth. Offer technical support, mentoring and professional development.
● Documentation: Create and design technical drawings and specifications for implementation in large building developments.
● Continuous Learning: Stay updated on technology trends and apply them effectively.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Electrical Engineering or related field.
● Strong understanding of communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX) and building automation systems.
● Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure components.
● WiredScore/SmartScore Accredited Professional would be an advantage.
● Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Desired Skills
● Consulting/Construction Experience: Experience working for an M&E Consultant or Contractor will be an advantage
● Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams including architects, M&E Engineers, contractors, suppliers, master system integrators and customers in a consulting environment.
● Analytical Thinking: Problem-solving skills to address complex challenges
● Communication: Clear and concise communication of technical concepts
