Lab Technologist (BSc / Dipl) – Assay Des
Work Scope Overview
The candidate will work on diagnostic assay optimization including improving microfluidic flowrate consistency, assay signal-to-noise ratio, and assay workflow to assist ease of operation. The scope of work also include image and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- To work closely with the Lead Scientist to optimize microfluidic flowrate, assay signal-to-noise ratio, and assay workflow
- Perform reference assays e.g. ELISA, or immunoassays to compare the performance of the developed test to standard reference assays.
- Image and data analysis
- Keep good traceable records of all experiment and data
- Data presentation and reporting to supervisor
Requirements
- B.Sc. or Diploma in bioengineering, chemical engineering, engineering or relevant fields.
- Strong biology background
- Candidates should have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas
- Assay development
- Python/R data analysis and/or image processing
- Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Comfortable with hands-on lab work
- Up for new challenges and keen to work in a ‘fast-moving-pace’ of a biotech start-up.
