This position is under the general direction of the Global Support Center supporting the Global Strategic Initiatives goals for the country and region. In this role, you will be required to develop, understand and interpret fleet operation data and provide guidance on airline flight operations engineering to Boeing's internal and external customers, stakeholders and regulatory entities that ultimately contribute to achieving safety, capacity and efficiency in the aviation industry. Work tasks will focus on enhancing Boeing Products, Services and Initiatives by also building strong relationships with executives and program leaders in the country.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support Boeing fleet to advance safety and promote efficiency to meet increased capacity requirement
- Collect and evaluate operational data (e.g. airplane performance characteristics such as flight profile data, takeoff and landing performance, noise profiles, weight and balance, operation with missing or inoperative equipment)
- Lead and develop methods for data delivery in formats required by customers
- Perform research on flight operation related regulations, develop required data, and evaluate suitability with customers and regulatory agencies
- Communicate with external personnel to learn their expectations and seek optimized solutions for customers
- Participate in the aerospace industry organizational activities
- Develop, maintain and enhance proactive solution recommendations
- Assist customers and the Boeing Company in preparing for delivery of new equipment and/or types of operation. Work with external organizations like sales and marketing to provide customers solutions and identify revenue opportunities
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage interactions with customers/partners as well as all levels of stakeholders internally
- Duties are subject to change per management requirements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Aerospace Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years or more flight operation engineering experience in the civil aviation industry or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Masters + 3 years related work experience)
- Intensive knowledge of airplane systems & structure, airplane performance software & applications and airline operation processes and procedures
- Professional skills in Microsoft Office applications like Excel, PowerPoint and Word, along with strong coordination and presentation abilities
- Fluency in English as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle all aspects of complex situations with ease
- Good judgment, extreme discretion and flexibility in work hours
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for work if required
- A self-starter mentality, a positive attitude, and high ethical standards, with a proven track record of effective collaboration and success under pressure in time-constrained environments
- High standards of honesty and integrity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant experiences in airline performance, with a comprehensive knowledge in the areas of airplane performance, weight and balance
- Special procedure development and airplane performance instructor experience
- Strong knowledge in airplane load control management and load schedule development
