Position Overview
The MSCI Index Management Research Team is part of the MSCI Research and Equity Index Solutions Group and is responsible for the management and enhancements of all MSCI Index methodologies. This global team is currently located in New York, Geneva, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Manila.
Scope of Responsibility
• Be a strong performer and be able to lead other members, if needed
• Being a senior person, should be able to provide support and training to team members. Be able to oversee their work and perform QA where needed.
• Member of decision-making Committee and responsible for solving and escalating issues or complex cases to Senior Management
• Quality check of index rebalancing results and MSCI client queries related to Index Management Research and index methodologies
• Interact closely with other regional Index Management Research teams. Interact closely with other teams concerning production, client queries or projects
• Participate in & initiate projects related to Index Management Research. Propose enhancements to methodology, processes and applications used by the Index Management Research team
• Provide feedback/guidance and evaluating analyst on performance
Specific Knowledge/Skills
• Good Understanding of equity analysis and equity investment process, familiarity with Institutional Investment Practices and Buy Side Portfolio Management concepts
• Fluency in English – read, write and interpret.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge. Good knowledge of VBA is a plus. Knowledge of Matlab/SQL preferred.
