Job Responsibilities:
Safety
- Ensuring that all contractors comply with safety and health procedures at the project sites at all times.
- Developing Method Statement and Risk Assessment for works to be carried out on site.
- Ensuring that control measures are implemented, ensuring that the site is safe for work to commence.
Technical
- Reviewing and developing technical drawings for assigned projects.
- Coordinating with Professional Engineer to ensure structures designed are sound and in accordance to specifications and regulations.
- Coordinating with the Professional Engineer to perform the necessary regulatory submission before commencement and after completion of works.
- Verifying that the actual construction is carried out in accordance with design plans.
- Ensuring that all facilities are adequately constructed and established according to design plans.
Project Management
- Developing project work schedule and regularly updating progress status, changes and matters of concern to the project lead.
- Coordinating works with sub-contractors, ensuring that projects are executed effectively within the scheduled timelines.
- Carrying out testing and commissioning of the newly erected batching plant site before handing the plant over to the Operations team.
- Performing handover/ takeover of facilities to and from the Operations team.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Civil) or equivalent;
- Min. 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in the construction field;
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines;
- Possess technical knowledge of AutoCAD;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Good knowledge of local safety regulations;
- Class 3 driving license.
