This position is responsible in ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel property and all its equipment, ancillary maintenance and repair services and protection of the Owner's asset. Structural aspects of the hotel as well as the maintenance of grounds and external facilities fall within the span of responsibility of the Chief Engineer.
Hotel Experience Essential. The Facilities Maintenance Manager role involves hands on job for hotel maintenance. Reporting directly to the Quality & Compliance Manager / Talent & Culture Manager.

- Required a CAN-DO attitude and willing to support hotel management.
- Ensures the standard maintenance for the hotel’s different equipment is attended to: plumbing, electrical appliances, locks, heating, air conditioning, bathroom fixtures and that all other related equipment’s are in good working condition.
- Capable of project management
- Ability to handle all authorities and compliance as per Singapore regulations
- Take on small renovation jobs such as painting, carpeting, furnishings etc.
- Good understanding of hotel M&E and overall maintenance job scope
- Ability to trouble shoot and find ways to fix or repair things internally
- Ability to lead & guide staff to handle jobs that can be done internally
- Good attitude with CAN DO approach to support the management
- Positive person with hands on approach
- Willing to help other departments on need basic

- Flexible to work morning or afternoon and weekends
- Ability to deal with suppliers and get the best price and supervise the job as required – and when the hotel needs to engage outside suppliers

- Understand and respect the hotel’s compliance and adhere to all policies and procedures
- Ability to handle emergency call outs and attend to the hotel on need basis
- Understand and handle Fire Evacuation and train staff as required for Evacuation procedure –
- Willing to undertake Technical training to up skill as the hotel recommends
- Multi- tasking required as it is the New Norm in Hospitality. Some administration work is required. Computer knowledge is also preferred.
- Understanding of PMS systems in order to attend to M&E duties in the hotel
- Some reporting required for legal submission and business compliance
- Willing to learn and welcome the on the job training to better your skills
- Key department for supporting the hotel functions overall in the M&E and maintenance – upkeep of hotel rooms and over all hotel building.
- Respecting the owners asset and management decisions for the better of the business and to sustain the functions
- Understand the respect the hotel expenses and budget set for Maintenance and stay within the budget guidelines
