Job Descriptions
Sourcing and Purchasing:
- Identify and procure necessary components, materials, and equipment
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines
Supplier Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient material handling
Technical Evaluation:
- Assess technical specifications and requirements for components, particularly in electronics and electrical (E&E) sectors
- Ensure sourced materials meet the technical standards and specifications, including thickness measurements in mm and other technical criteria
Cost Management:
- Analyze and manage procurement costs to stay within budget
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance
The Successful Applicant
- Preferred diploma in supply chain management, engineering (electrical/electronics), or a related field is preferred
- Experience in procurement/ sourcing within the marine industry or oil & gas sector
- Familiarity with SAP/ ERP systems is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of electronics and electrical (E&E) components and systems, such as wire thickness and other relevant measurements
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
