General Manager - Sales & Operations

Job Summary:

The General Manager (GM) will oversee the daily operations and overall management of the Food & Beverage (F&B) company. This includes responsibility for operational efficiency, profitability, staff management, customer satisfaction, and adherence to health and safety regulations. The GM will drive the company’s goals, vision, and mission to ensure sustainable growth and a positive customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:Oversee all daily operations of the F&B outlets.
    Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency.
    Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock without overstocking.
    Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  2. Financial Management:Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
    Analyze financial statements to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
    Ensure all financial and administrative procedures are conducted accurately and in a timely manner.
    Develop strategies to increase revenue and control costs.
  3. Staff Management:Recruit, train, and manage staff, including setting performance standards and conducting performance evaluations.
    Foster a positive work environment and culture that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
    Address staff issues and conflicts in a timely and constructive manner.
    Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and service quality.
  4. Customer Service:Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by monitoring service quality and responding to customer feedback.
    Implement initiatives to improve customer experience and loyalty.
    Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  5. Marketing and Sales:Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the company’s brand and products.
    Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
    Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and implement promotional activities and events.
  6. Menu Development:Work with chefs and kitchen staff to develop and update menus that meet customer preferences and seasonal trends.
    Ensure that menu items are cost-effective and contribute to profitability.
  7. Compliance and Reporting:Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
    Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
    Implement and oversee internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
  8. Strategic Planning:Develop and implement long-term strategic plans to achieve business goals.
    Identify and pursue opportunities for business expansion and diversification.
    Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies to maintain competitiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar senior management role within the F&B industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology.

Working Conditions:

  • The position may require working long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks related to the job.
