Summary:
The APAC IaaS Windows Engineer will oversee the APAC Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) project deliverables, ensuring timely delivery aligned with SLAs and IT security policies. The role involves technical support, maintaining high-quality IaaS services, and working collaboratively with global IT teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee BAU support operations of IaaS systems in APAC (Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan).
- Maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments (2012, 2016, 2019) and Microsoft Active Directory.
- Utilize ITIL 3 or 4 Foundation principles.
- Develop and manage strong business relationships with stakeholders and teams.
- Adhere to CIB and Security policies, contributing to management reports and dashboards.
- Ensure Disaster Recovery and BCP processes are in place and practised.
- Manage OS on physical and virtual servers, preferably within low latency or electronic trading networks.
- Follow governance, server administration, and cloud-based services standards.
Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of technical experience in a bank or financial institute.
- Proficient in virtual technology platforms like VMware, Websphere 6.x, or Microsoft HyperV 2019.
- Strong skills in Active Directory management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with low latency or electronic trading network environments preferred.
- Knowledge of governance, server administration, and services in cloud-based environments.
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
- ITIL 3 or 4 Foundation certification required.
- Willingness to perform shift work, weekends, and on-call duties as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Ansible Tower, Ivanti, Centrify, Veritas, and BMC software.
- Experience with VSAN, iSCSI, DAS, NAS, SAN storage technologies.
- Scripting skills in Python or other languages.
- Experience with Agile methodologies or DevOps teams.
- Project Management experience.
