Our client is a reputable consumer services group and they are currently seeking a new hire in their Procurement Organisation. This role involves negotiating with vendors to secure the best value and timely delivery of goods and services, in alignment with our procurement policies. The successful candidate will support various Business Units (BUs) and be assigned a specific category.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily purchasing and procurement tasks for designated BUs.
- Point of contact and partner for assigned BUs, managing vendor relationships and procurement processes to achieve optimal pricing.
- Oversee sourcing, negotiations, RFQs, tenders, and manage contracts and vendor performance.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies.
- Evaluate and monitor vendor performance regarding delivery, quality, and service standards.
- Address and resolve any issues related to category purchases with vendors and BUs.
- Conduct regular business reviews with BUs and vendors.
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to purchases, contracts, and tenders.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in a relevant field with 5 years of experience in purchasing and procurement, preferably inmedical devices, materials, capital equipment, and service maintenance category.
- Familiarity with eProcurement systems, especially SAP.
- Experience with SAP Hana/S4 modules for procurement and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships and collaborate effectively.
