Trader (Non-Ferrous Metals)
Job Description:
· Responsible for developing and maintaining non-ferrous trading business on a global scale (both purchasing and sales) of products and scrap metals.
· Use market intelligence to identify new suppliers / customers in the region and develop new accounts, by representing the company at conferences, trade shows etc.
· Manages own / team’s purchasing and selling portfolio, trading positions to optimize profitability and minimize risks.
· Liaise with logistics / operations, and risk management teams to ensure smooth, cost-effective operations.
· Participate in entertainment occasions with suppliers and customers.
· Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
· Possess university or diploma in any field
· Sales experience in commodity trading / non-ferrous business will be an added advantage
· Knowledge in shipping and trade payment modes is preferred
· Possess a valid driving licence
· Willing to travel frequently to meet/visit customers and suppliers at short notice
· Bilingual in English and Mandarin, Cantonese and other languages will be an added advantage.
