Role summary:
- Field Engineer to support repair and maintaining of Patient Care Solutions (PCS) modality systems. This may include, but is not limited to installing, repairing, testing and delivering quality services related to field services, maintaining operations hygiene and ensuring that all related performance metrics are met. Responsible for developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives, ensuring high level of customer satisfaction. This is a one-year contract role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains all models specific to the Patient Care Solutions (PCS) Modality in the assigned area, focusing to drive bulk of monthly Preventive Maintenance.
- Complete all administration tasks on time (e.g., ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions and Preventive Maintenance Service inspections documentation for assigned accounts).
- Perform total system level troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom problems.
- Maintain daily interface with Biomedical Engineers, Clinicians & end-users on equipment status issues, to ensure satisfaction of primary customers.
- Assists in the growth and direction of business in his/her assigned area.
- Responsible for Warranty, Installation and PM (Preventive Maintenance) contract cost control.
- Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the internal Service Quality Policy Statement.
Quality Specific Goals:
- Aware of and comply with the internal Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
- Identify and report any customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
- Identify and report any personal quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
- Ensure timely dispatch closure.
- Ensure completion of all field modifications instructions (FMI) within prescribed timeframe.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 0-2 years field service experience in medical industry or equivalent.
- High work standards with strong sense of accountability and ownership over customer issues and other responsibilities.
- Growth mindset with strong initiative and motivation to learn.
- Strong customer skills and deals tactfully and effectively with differences of opinion.
- A good team player and can work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, listening skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written communication.
