Our client, a leading financial services firm is seeking a highly skilled Derivatives Ops Manager to join our Middle and Back Office Services – Oversight Team. This role is crucial in managing the trade life cycle of all instruments traded by the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Life Cycle Oversight:Manage and oversee the trade life cycle of all trading instruments, focusing on derivatives.
Provide oversight of regulatory reporting for uncleared OTC derivatives under EMIR and MAS regulations.
- Project Support: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in various projects.
Develop and review new operating models for trading instruments.
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new trading instrument enablement.
- Operational Management: Handle operational activities under tactical and strategic rollout plans.
Review and manage ISDA Schedules, CSA, GMRA, CTA, and other agreements.
Monitor service providers' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Stakeholder Interaction: Promptly address internal and external stakeholder inquiries.
Collaborate with portfolio managers, dealers, legal, risk, compliance, regional clients, service providers, custodians, and brokers.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Education:Degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance/Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in middle and back office roles within an asset management firm or hedge fund.
- Expertise in derivatives (Exchange Traded, Bilateral OTC, Cleared OTC).
- Experience in reviewing ISDA Schedules, CSA, GMRA, CTA.
- Proficiency in regulatory reporting for uncleared OTC derivatives, especially in MAS and EMIR jurisdictions.
- Knowledge of trade life cycle management across other asset classes: EQ, FI, MM, TD, FX, CIS.
- Familiarity with various fund structures.
- Experience in managing external vendors and providing oversight.
- Proficiency in using Aladdin, DTCC, and Markit Integrated Reporting is preferred.
