Job Description
• Design, plan and executive numerical simulations in the domains of nearshore coastal dynamics, coastal sediment transport, and wave and current interaction with coastal infrastructure
• Conduct hydrodynamic simulations using advanced numerical models for extensive coastal regions.
• Develop custom software for data integration and visualization of simulation outputs.
• Compile and present findings and lead the production of high-quality research reports.
Job Requirements
• Possess a PhD degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of research experience in water resources and coastal engineering, including expertise in hydrological and hydrodynamics modeling.
• At least 3 years of experience in coastal numerical simulation
• Proficient in statistical methods for data mining and predictive analytics, with the ability to handle and analyse large-scale datasets.
• Strong publication record in numerical modelling and algorithm development.
• Highly motivated and capable of working independently.
• Good communication skills and a team player.
• Highly driven, independent, and resourceful.
• Open to fixed-term contract.
