HR Lead, Singapore

Summary of Role

Fresenius Medical Care (“FME”) is the world’s leading provider of products and services for people with chronic kidney failure. FME Singapore has been providing dialysis products and life-saving therapies since 1997 and currently we are the largest private provider of dialysis treatments in the country with 32 dialysis clinics. The incumbent is responsible for HR strategy and operations, including talent acquisition, talent management, succession planning, rewards and recognition, employee engagement as well as HR operations for respective two major business units with 350 headcount. Partnering with key leaders, HR Lead is to ensure FME Singapore becomes an employer of choice in Singapore by implementing initiatives for the development of its human capital and the creation of a congenial workplace. The position will support in driving a culture where high performance is encouraged, recognised and rewarded, balanced with empathy for individual’s aspirations and needs.


In addition, this role will support Asia Pacific and global projects within HR and for the Medtech business, as part of their reporting to the manager and serve as point person for a few businesses.


Key Accountabilities

1. Partners with leaders and senior stakeholders to assess organizational and business needs and develop HR s

strategies to build a high-performing and resilient teams.

2. Partners with the Global HR COE teams, Strategic HRBPs, to implement integrated HR strategies and solutions

to drive career development, talent management, high-performing culture, etc.

3. Provides HR advisory to Country Management Team, head of Departments and Senior Nursing Leaders in FMC

Singapore.

4. Works closely with country manager to drive country employee engagement, to ensure collaboration of all

departments, etc.

5. Leads and coach a team of 3 HR team members to provide full spectrum of HR functions.

6. Responsible for budget and forecasting for manpower planning, yearly and quarterly.

7. Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes diversity, equity, and belonging.

8. Identifies opportunities for efficiency improvement, cost enhancements etc, via HR metrics and regular review.

9. Develops and implements employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and activities to enhance

morale and employee satisfaction.

10. Drives and implement learning & development programs through training needs analysis, evaluation of

team’s capabilities to meet business requirements.

11. Drives talent management strategy for succession planning and build competencies to enhance internal talent

pipeline for critical positions in various business and functional units.

12. Leads grievance handling, performance improvement plan discussions and non-compliance investigation.

13. Oversees all HR processes in country such as hiring, termination, payroll, audits, and systems.

14. Leads change management process and organizational development initiatives from global or region.

15. Leads annual salary review process, salary adjustments for all employees, analyses and proposes

benefits alignment and oversees implementation, establish reward and recognition strategies.

16. Any ad-hoc projects/initiatives as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Human Resources of which 5 years of solid HRBP experience, healthcare

industry preferred.

• Strong understanding of Singapore workplace regulations and legal framework

• Proficiency in MS Office – Words, Excel and Powerpoint

• Professional oral and written English

• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent listening and communication skill

• Ability to handle ambiguity on first time assignment/project/situation.

• Critical thinking and strong interpersonal skill are essential.

• Accurate, analytical, reliable, teamwork spirit, proactive and committed
