Responsibilities:
- Oversee the company's daily shipping operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
- Work with ship managers to develop and implement strategies that improve operational efficiency and align with company goals.
- Manage budgets for vessel operations, including contracts, demurrages, and other shipping-related financial matters.
- Ensure the timely collection of hire payments and regularly update the financial status of shipping operations.
- Negotiate and evaluate shipping contracts, such as Time Charter and Contract of Affreightment, and address contract issues and renewals.
- Monitor and manage contractual obligations, ensuring adherence to charterers' voyage instructions.
- Ensure all shipping operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Collaborate with insurance brokers to secure comprehensive coverage for vessel assets.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics or equivalent
- At least 2 – 4 years of shipping operation experience
- Experience in handling for RPO, RPKO, CPO, RBDPO cargo is prefered.
- Good understanding of charter party, the experience with handling ITT, arranging load ports and discharge ports rotation, POB, laytime calculations.
- Preparing of Letter of Indemnity, BL.
- Handle and process the safe day-to-operations of time charter/ voyage charter and consecutive voyage charters.
