At the heart of Deutsche Bank’s client franchise is the Corporate Bank. One of the key factors that have allowed the Corporate Bank to deliver growth over and above the rest of the market is the bespoke client solutions delivered by the Trade Finance & Lending Structuring (“TFLS”) team in Singapore. Our TFLS team has delivered complex Trade Finance & Lending solutions across a variety of sectors and all markets in Asia Pacific and has completed transactions across a variety of sectors including Commodities. Power Generation, Transportation, Telecommunications, Infrastructure etc, using a variety of products including Documentary Trade, Working Capital and Lending solutions.
The TFLS team is seeking to expand its TFLS business across corporate and FI clients in Singapore. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about leading structured trade finance business with deep knowledge of TFLS products. With rising intra-regional trade and increasing demand for complex financing requirements of large corporates, TFLS team in Singapore is positioned to support Deutsche Bank’s corporate clients in accessing structured financing solutions to fund operations in APAC.

Your key responsibilities
- Lead TFLS Singapore team responsible for driving TFLS business and manage corporate client relationship by developing the TFLS team through product guidance, coaching & mentorship
- Responsible for origination, structuring and execution of structured trade finance & lending transactions (including preparation of information memoranda, credit analysis, term sheets and financial models) for corporate and FI clients (Client) in Singapore;
- Responsible for driving TFLS revenues within Singapore
- Work with Clients and internal APAC teams (Trade Finance & coverage) to expand Singapore as a hub for booking offshore transactions for Clients in APAC countries
- Assess and analyse specific Client circumstances in conjunction with the relevant product teams, and provide the relevant TFLS solutions and debt advisory;
- Managing business risk and compliance with regulations and bank policies
- Responsible for the preparation, submission and presentation of credit proposals and perform credit risk analysis;
- Work with internal teams (FI and Distribution) to develop TFLS solutions leading to higher participation by FI investors in Singapore
- End to end responsibility to structure and implement transactions with various teams including legal, finance and accounts, distribution, credit, collateral management and operations;
- Provide product leadership to the Singapore corporate coverage universe, with respect to product offering of TFLS across the trade finance and loan product spectrum;
Your skills and experience
- At least 12 - 15 years of relevant experience of leading TFLS business, developing Client and investor relationship handling TFLS products, managing business risk with regulatory compliances and developing Structured Trade Finance solutions, around Documentary Trade, Working Capital and Lending Products
- Degree holder with an MBA or CA or CFA.
- Deeper understanding of the corporate TFLS requirement coupled with experience of handing documentary trade finance, working capital and lending products for deal origination and deliver Client centric solutions.
- Ability to generate sales leads from Client discussions, structure solutions around Client requirements and participate in senior level Client discussions / solution pitch.
- Experience and deep understanding of distribution and structuring products to develop TFLS solutions acceptable to investors and support distribution desk.
- Leadership experience of managing and nurturing direct/indirect teams.
- Strong credit & financial analysis skills including experience in credit analysis.
- Hands-on experience and ability to lead end-to-end deal process including due diligence (regulatory, compliance), credit proposals, term sheets, legal documentation and working with external counsels
- Regional exposure in APAC managing clients, team management, stakeholder management with dynamic and a strong work ethics.
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirement may apply.
