Career Opportunity:
SFC is looking for an individual who has strong appetite to learn, enjoys a collaborative work environment, love numbers, strong in analysing data and is passionate about bringing positive change with innovative ideas to support the finance department.
Key Role and Responsibilities:
- Be part of the Account Receivable process that involves:
- Billing such as issuance of invoice to customers
- Management of customer payments throughout the billing cycle
- Billing reconciliation for invoice and incoming cash received
- Management of cheque payments from issuance to filing - Be part of the Account Payable Process that involves:
- Processing supplier invoices that involves receiving, checking, requesting of approvals and issuance of payment
- Processing of staff claims before each monthly cycle is complete
- Preparation of payment to relevant stakeholders for goods and services rendered - Bank reconciliation
- Month end closing
- Handling communications with vendors and clients through phone, email and in person if needed.
- Filing and related admin duties for the A/R and A/P processes wherever required
- Assisting in internal control review, implementation and execution
- Assisting with fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
Prerequisites:
- Diploma/degree in accounting or business studies with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates are welcome.
- Attention to detail, diligent and possess positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- A hands-on team player
- Problem solving with the can-do attitude
- Highly motivated and driven to produce results and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Competent in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, knowledge in Power BI will be an added advantage.
